During the opening sequence of The Dagger of Amon Ra, Laura Bow travels from New Orleans to New York to start her new career as a reporter for the Daily News Tribune. She makes her acquaintance with Irmgaard during the trip.
As soon as she gets to New York, Laura is robbed within a matter of seconds, losing both her suitcase and money.
