Description[]

Dr. Archibald Carrington was born and raised in England, where he established his reputation by managing the operations of the British Museum. He also took time in finishing the late Leyendecker president's article on the medieval armor As the newly elected president, Carrington vows to expand the museum's research programs and exhibits to help increased public awareness.

Before he left to take on his new role, the staff of the British Museum gifted him a gold pocket watch to thank him for his years of dedicated service. He then boarded the Andrea Doria to get to his destination of New York City.

During the opening sequence to The Dagger of Amon Ra, a man is strangled to death in his ship cabin by an unknown killer, who then stuffs his victim into a steamer trunk before walking off. New Leyendecker Museum President Dr. Carrington is seen the next morning getting off the ship to meet with Countess Lavinia Waldorf-Carlton, with Steve Dorian helping him carry a steamer trunk. Within the week after his arrival, the Dagger of Amon Ra is stolen from the museum.

Act II[]

Dr. Carrington is seen during the museum's charity party while seemingly not too concerned over the dagger's robbery. He listens to Dr. Pippin Carter tell his story about the dagger's discovery before he and the rest of the men (Dr. Carter, Rameses Najeer, and Ziggy) have a group chat about Yvette Delacroix after she wonders off. The president claims to have many experiences with women from several lands, and a french woman suggested to have a "deep conversation" on the back of a dinosaur.

Yvette later flirts with the museum president.

Act III[]

Dr. Carrington can be seen occasionally wandering the museum, and he doesn't interact much with the rest of the characters. However, he did have a 11:00 meeting scheduled with Dr. Carter before he was killed.

At 11:15 PM, Laura Bow discovers the body of Dr. Carrington slumped over his desk on top of a stuffed porcupine filled with needles. Before he died, he used the last of his strength to write "C. P." on his desk with his finger in blood. This alludes to the book Crime an Punishment, which can be found on the right side of the book shelf on the middle row. When Laura looks inside the book, she discovers a police file on Watney Little.

Dr. Carrington was also meant to have a meeting with The Countess and Ziggy at the Medieval Armor Exhibit at 1:00 PM, but only the Countess would be alive to attend.

Later that night, a skeleton placed in a steamer trunk is discovered in the Storage Room. A pocket watch belonging to Dr. Carrington is also found.

Act IV[]

During the Coroner's Inquest, it was discovered that the real Dr. Archibald Carrington III was murdered by Watney Little, who then impersonated the president. During his time in New York City, he was recognized by Detective Ryan O'Riley, who blackmailed Watney into stealing the Dagger of Amon Ra in exchange for the police report and his freedom. After getting what he wanted, O'Riley then murdered Watney to cover his tracks.

It was also revealed that Watney was the man involved in the art burglary scheme with the Countess and Ziggy.

Carrington's Epilogue[]

Since his skeleton was so nicely cleaned by the dermestid beetles, Dr. Carrington's bones will soon be hanging on display in the Leyendecker Museum.
