Alfred Hitchcock is referenced in Laura Bow the Colonel's Bequest. If the player chooses to take a shower, Laura Bow will take off her dress and get in the shower, but she will be stabbed to death and the game over message will say "Didn't Alfred teach you anything?!" which is a reference to the 1960 horror movie "Psycho". The music that plays during this scene is also an homage.
